Adeleke brings back the use of tablets in Osun schools

Governor Ademola Adeleke has given directives to the ministry of Education, Science and Innovation to consider bringing back tablets in osun schools.

He is looking into re-introducing digital learning tablets in schools in Osun state.
It was during the Rauf Aregbesola administration that e-learning was introduced in osun schools. Rauf Aregbesola introduces the use of tablets and computers to better teaching and learning processes in Osun state.
As at that time, 300,000 students benefited from the program.
This was successful as it increased the pass rate in senior secondary students in Osun. They had an increase of over 193%.
This also helped the state save over N8.4 billion annual textbook expenses.
This development was then hindered by the former governor, governor Adegboyega Oyetola. He withdrew these tablets from students.
The present governor has looked into reintroducing this learning style.
Yesterday, March 15, governor Adeleke presented instructional material to pupils. This was a part of the activities that was used to mark his 100 days in office of governor.
During this, he criticized the poor performance of students and also West African Examinations Council’s (WAEC) ranking. He believes the fault lies in the absence of the use of technology in schools.
