Until the end of time, Nigerians will never cease to amaze us. Hilda Baci bagging a Guinness World Record has awoken the competitive side of fellow Nigerians.
Another lady, Funmi Ojelade, has declared her intention of embarking on a 168-hour indoor challenge, aka, indoor-thon. She said she will stay indoor without access to her phone.
In her words, "My name is Funmi Ojelade. A Nigerian woman from Ogun State. I will be setting in a challenge with the Guinness World Record for an Indoor-Thon by 168 hrs. Meaning no going out, no chatting, no calling in or out, for the next 7 days."
Fellow Nigerians are beginning to mock Yoruba people for the endless "A-thon" challenge.
One @iyiola_elvis said "Who else have noticed that it's only 3 states that are always attempting the Guinness World Record of a thing. If no be Ogun State, na Ondo State and Ekiti people. Come be like say internet just enter this areas. Abi Dem think say them dey reward people wey attempt with money?"
Netizens have advised Nigerians to register for the Big Brother Naija reality show if they truly want to fuel their competitiveness.
That's because the rate at which Nigerians are attempting to break the Guinness World Record is becoming annoying.
Someone even advised Hilda Baci to make an official statement asking people to stop.
@EmaazDr, "HILDA BACI SHOULD MAKE AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT ASKING THESE GUYS TO STOP. IT IS TOO MUCH."
At this rate, GWR must be sick of hearing the word "A-thon" from our dear country and as @malay_bogga jokingly said, "Anything wey enter Nigeria must break."
