
President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Ebonyi on Tuesday for a two-day official visit. The president arrived in the state at about 11:15 a.m., joined by Ebonyi Governor David Umahi and other top government officials.
The president's helicopter, bearing the registration number 5N–FG1, landed on the pavilion within the governor's palace in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.
The president inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Nigerian Army after exchanging pleasantries with key government officials and traditional rulers, among others, who came to greet him.
The president will also lay the foundation stone for the ultra-modern King David University of Medical Sciences in Uburu, as well as the newly constructed presidential lounge in Abakaliki.
The president is also set to open the state's ultra-modern Ebonyi international shopping center, as well as facilities at the newly constructed government house and finished road projects.
Security has been tightened up across the state, with appropriate security authorities assuring the public that lives and property would be adequately protected.
