Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has revealed the inspiration behind the name of his next studio album I TOLD THEM.

In an interview with Complex HQ, the self-acclaimed African Giant explained that the name of his album is for anyone who didn't believe in him at any point in time.
The album is a reflection of naysayers and those who doubted his ability and thought he couldn't achieve his dreams.
He revealed that one day, he was scrolling through his Twitter (now X) and started digging up his old tweets down to the first tweet he first made.
He said he ended up seeing a lot of things he said he would do back then that he had achieved now. He realized that everything he said many years ago came to pass so he got inspired to name his album, I TOLD THEM.
Burna Boy is set to release his 7th studio album I TOLD THEM on Friday, 25th August. The album is a blend of hip-hop and his Afro-fusion sound.
The album contains 15 tracks with amazing features from talented artists including 21 Savage, Dave, J Cole, Seyi Vibez, and Byron Messia.
