On Monday, Dangote Petroleum Refinery said it was going to start production following the 6 bath of one million barrels of crude oil that was supplied by the NNPCL following their past deal.
Dangote Refinery said in a statement,
- Dangote refinery appears set to commence production of refined petroleum products with the receipt of the sixth batch of barrels of crude supplied by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited.
A month ago, the firm said it had received its first shipment of one million barrels of Agbami crude oil in support of Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited.
Shell is Nigeria’s and the world’s biggest trading company, dealing with a staggering daily volume of over eight million barrels of crude oil.
However, the Dangote Refinery has been receiving crude oil in parts, but with the completion on Monday of 6 million barrels of Agbami crude at Dangote Offshore Oil Terminal, production is expected to start.
This was revealed by the Managing Director of Dangote Ports Operations, Akin Omole, who reported to correspondents at Dangote Quay in Lagos that, with its completion, the refinery will start refining crude oil.
