After spending over 30 days in detention, the DSS has rearrested suspended CBN governor Godwin Emefiele yesterday following the court's ruling over his case.

Emefiele, who was arraigned by the DSS for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition was at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos yesterday where the court granted him N20m bail and a surety.
However, the court declared that Emefiele remain in the correctional center pending the time his bail conditions are settled.
While the National Correctional Services (NCS) were preparing to move Emefiele to a correctional facility following the court's order, a fight broke out between the DSS and the NCS over the custody of Emefiele which almost led to a gun battle.
In a video that went viral, the DSS officials were seen manhandling the Commander of the NCS in the court premises.
Emefiele's brother also spoke to the press about the clash between the DSS and NCS stating that is a very unfortunate thing to behold in a democratic nation like Nigeria where two military apparatuses have become a subject of ridicule.
