The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, swore in 35 Commissioners, Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants at the Executive Council Chamber, Centenary City, Abakaliki.
Some of the Commissioners sworn in by Ebonyi Governor were:

3. Lands and Survey, Dr. Matthew Nwobashi
4. Tertiary Education, Prof. Omari Omaka (SAN)
5. Market Development and Parks, Prof. Nwogo Obasi
6. Skill Development and Job Creation, Elijah Oko-Udu
7. Internal Security, Prince Etta Ude
8. Environment, Hon. Victor Chukwu
9. Information and State Orientation, Jude Okpor
10. Commerce and Industry, Oguzor Offia Nwali
His Chief of staff is Prof. Emmanuel Echiegu, while his Deputy Chief of Staff is Engr Timothy Nwachi.
While the Ebonyi Governor was addressing the appointees, he told them his administration would not condone any form of insolence, and he urged them to collaborate with him for the progress of the state.
He said he would not cease to remove anyone who isn't performing his or her duties from office. He further stated that the people of Ebonyi State await the appointed members to discharge their duties and deliver on their responsibilities.
