EFCC arrests former minister of power, Sale Mamman over alleged N22billion fraud

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the former minister of power, Sale Mamman.
They arrested him yesterday, which was Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
They detained him at the EFCC headquarters, in Abuja.
They mentioned that Mamman allegedly conspired with another member of staff in the ministry and this member is in charge of the accounts of the Zungeru and Mambilla Hydro Electric Power projects.
He conspired with him and diverted a sum of N22 billion.
The two of them shared the money among themselves.
It was the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) who disclosed this information.
The mentioned that his arrest in connection to the investigation which which EFCC is carrying out regarding corruption in some power projects.

This man was appointed as a minister in 2019. It was President Muhammadu Buhari who appointed him in 2019 but he was fired in 2021 after 2 years.
