Police arrest five suspects and rescued six girls on Wednesday from a baby factory known as Mother and Child Hospital and Maternity in Umunya, Oyi LGA in Anambra State.
The Anambra State Health Facility, Accreditation, and Monitoring unit were at the hospital for inspection when they discovered that the place was being utilized for devilish means. The hospital staff members ran away after the unit wanted to know why the hospital wasn't registered with the government.
With the intervention of the police, they were able to gain access to the hospital where they found six pregnant girls between the ages of 14 to 21. Five suspects have been arrested and the police have promised to carry out necessary measures to bring down the child trafficking syndicate.
