Fuel Sells for N750 as fuel Subsidy is removed.

Fuel prices have been hiked up just barely a day after the new president of Nigeria has been sworn in.

The prices were hiked from to N750 within a day and citizens have been lamenting.

Some filling stations in Calabar for example have shut down as a result of this and some who are open to seek have terribly long queues there.
Residents are queuing to get the little they can.

There has also been a serious hike in transport fare within a few hours.

This is coming just after the inauguration of President Tinubu.

Recall he mentioned this in his inaugural speech yesterday. He said the former president had only budgeted for fuel subsidies till June meaning he didn't budget the second half of the year.

The subsidy which was placed on fuel has been removed and some filling stations had to close down.

People have been facing difficulties getting to their destination because of the hike in transport fares.

Those selling fuel in the black market are currently yelling at 800 per liters and would only sell 10 liters to each interested buyer.
