A group of Fulani herdsmen have been suspected of having killed a farmer, the Elepe of Ohi-Ogidi, Chief Ojo Olayinka in Ijumu LGA of Kogi State and set his body on fire after ending his life on his farm.
According to reports, Chief Olayinka went to his farm on Tuesday and didn't return home that day only for his family members to find his badly burnt body on his farm. They later discovered that some cows found their way on his farm and they ate his crops.
One of the chief's family members revealed that these Fulani herdsmen have infiltrated the entire land and they now live among their people. They even have land allocated to them along the Kabba-Iyara-Omue road where they live. As a result, a lot of farmers have been killed and farmlands destroyed by these herdsmen.
