Governor Sanwo-Olu congratulates Eze Anaba over election as President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.

The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu alongside some other people have congratulated Mr. Eze Anaba, on his election as the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE).
Mr Eze Anaba was the Editor of Vanguard Newspapers. He was recently elected as the president of the NGE.
Others who also congratulated Mr Eze on his election includes the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar; former Senate President Bukila saraki and the Governor of Ekiti State Biodun Oyebanji.
Mr Eze Anaba won the election which was held during the NGE National Biennial Convention which took place in Owerri, on Friday.
He had gotten a total of 250 votes and emerged as the winner. He defeated his only opponent who is Mr Bolaji Adebiyi, who had a total of 81 votes
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu related a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Gboyega Akosile yesterday. He said that Mr Eze's election will contribute positively to the media industry and also to the country.
He described this victory as a revelation of the trust which his colleagues have in him.
He also revealed that he deserves this election looking at his experience, commitment, and his long years of service in the media industry and also NGE.
He then went ahead to urge the President and other executive members of the Nigeria Guild of Editors to use their experience to strengthen the media industry, especially journalism.
He also urged the new NGE executives to see their new leadership positions as a very important assignment.
