Governor Seyi Makinde under fire for announcing his daughter's graduation from Yale University
Yesterday, the daughter of the Oyo State Governor, Tobi Makinde, graduated from Yale University. Her father proudly congratulated her on his official X page and shared pictures taken at her graduation. Also, families were present at the graduation, and they all posed happily for a photo.
Unfortunately, Nigerians faulted the Governor for announcing his daughter's graduation from a foreign University. They asked him why he couldn't send his children to the University in Oyo State despite being Governor. To many, that shows that the universities in his state aren't good enough since his children didn't study in Nigeria.
They urged him to invest in his state so people would be proud to obtain a degree from the institution.
