In a recent interview on Korty Tv, Ayra Starr opened up on her love life, saying she doesn't have time for love and she is not ready for a relationship at the moment.

When told that it would be a nice balance to combine being a singer and being in a relationship together, Ayra Starr said, "I'm actually obsessed with the work. Whatever happens, happens. I'm just going with the vibe for now."
She was also asked whether she believes in love and she revealed that she doesn't know if she believes in love or not because society's description of love is different from what she sees in movies. That has given her a flawed perspective on what love is.
She said, "I don't know. It feels like a maybe. Maybe because of the way I've gotten information about love. It's different from what I've seen.

Maybe love is real but sometimes it's too fictionalized in a way, from reading books to watching movies. Probably that's what is putting doubts in my mind because I see that as love and I'm seeing something else in real life."
She opened up about her parents' relationship and revealed that her father and mother separated since she was a young age and this also influenced the way she sees herself. She also spoke on her mom being an important figure in her life.
"My mother and father were separated from like most of me growing up and I'm not going to lie, I wouldn't have it any other way, because I feel like that has made me who I am today. Just watching my mom be the strong woman. That has inspired me so well. Just watching her work back to back.", She said.

She also spoke on her view on religion and how she believes that spirituality and religion are two different things that shouldn't be put together.
She spoke about her faith in God and how she feels religion shouldn't be forced on anyone but should be a thing that comes from the heart.
"I know who I am. I'm spiritual. I carry light wherever I go. I'm light. So sometimes I'm human. That light might flicker a bit but nobody can put off my lights. Nobody can dim my light ever.
My mom didn't bring us up in the 'you must go to church, you must do this.' She gave us spiritual freedom so I think that was what drew me closer to God because it wasn't something I knew I had to do. It was something I wanted to do.
Some Christians, the only reason why you're a Christian is because you were brought up in a Christian home but I chose God. So religion is 'do this, do that.' Spirituality is more like a relationship with God.

Some people go to church because that's what the Bible says but they aren't good people. When Jesus came, He gave us the power of choice. You are allowed to choose. So it's now your choice to choose him and not choose him."
