Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has revealed that he hasn't received any salary since he was elected into office in 2022.
Gov. Soludo disclosed this at the second anniversary of his administration in Awka, Anambra State on 17th March 2024. Soludo said his administration has mastered cutting costs by not borrowing a dime for the past two years.
Gov. Soludo said he hasn't received any salary since he assumed office in 2022 and even his wife, Nonye Chukwuma, the First Lady of the State, still rides his vehicles because she has no official car.
To further buttress his point, he said his government is focused on prioritizing the needs of the people, assuring them that every penny spent by him will be accounted for, and if he ever borrows, the people will see the projects the loan is used for.
