Nigerian singer John Ighodaro popularly known as Johnny Drille has revealed that his wife Rima Tahini was his the one and only girlfriend he ever had.
During a recent interview on actress Iyabo Ojo's podcast, Johnny Drille revealed that he knew his wife was the one for him the moment he set his eyes on her. He said he has a very strong conviction so it was clear to him when they met. He disclosed that he met Rima at his Johnny's Room Live show in Lagos back in 2018. At first, he mistook her for a white woman because of her complexion.
He explained that she was standing next to a white woman at his show and he was delighted to see whites attend his show. It was later he realized she was of a mixed race. Johnny said they later connected and met at his show in Abuja.
Johnny revealed that he never had a girlfriend until he met his wife Rima Tahini. He said, "I know many people will not believe this but she was my first girlfriend. I never had a girlfriend. I married the first woman I said I love you too."
The host, Iyabo Ojo stylishly asked if he was a virgin before he met his wife but he evaded the question and laughed it off.
Johnny Drille's wife, Rima Tahini Ighodaro is the A&R of Mavin Record and a senior advisor at Kupanda Global.
She was of mixed origin. Rima was born Sierra Leone by a Sierra Leonean mother and a Lebanese father. Rima graduated from Brandeis University in Massachusetts where she studied Business and Economics. She got married to Johnny Drille on 5th January 2022.
