A day after Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo received a letter from the Lagos Inland Revenue Service for an outstanding 18 million Naira tax levies, she has come out to reject the claims.

In a video she put out yesterday on her Instagram page, she showed some documents which she used to verify that she is not owing any tax.

She said, “I pay tax on my business, I pay tax on my house, I pay tax on everything. But this personal income tax is annoying. You people said I should come and pay tax. How much do they pay celebrities? How much do they pay actresses? How much?”

“As an influencer and actress, how do they come up with these plans that they charge? I'm not saying I'm not going to pay but how do you come up with these outrageous amounts because it is too much? It's too much.”

“Someone very close to me sent me a message that he heard about this thing two weeks ago because he's within their caucus. He said they were saying that it's because we support Peter Obi. I don't care.”

“I will support whoever I want to support because it is my job to do so. I'm not fighting anybody. I don't have an issue with anybody. It's my right to do so. What I believe in is what I believe in. What you believe in is what you believe in.” she added.
