Seven suspected thieves were arrested by Kano's Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Muhammad Falala, Kano's NSCDC's commandant revealed this on Thursday evening.
Three of the suspects are Bara’u Auwal, 19; Yusuf Ibrahim, 18; and Sharhabilu Rabiu Abubakar, 19. These three were arrested for stealing a phone at Dorayi/Chiranchi Gwale Local Government Area.
Three others are Ibrahim Sani, 25; Salahu Abubakar Ale, 25; and Jafar Sani, 20. They were caught destroying a 7mms armored cable and immediately arrested in Sabon Gari, Fagge LGA.
The seventh suspected thief is Aminu Adamu, 32. He is a known specialist in car theft and document forgery. In his attempt to steal a Toyota Corolla at Gandun Albasa, Adamu got arrested.
"After the conclusion of investigations, all victims will be charged to court," says the commandant.
