In a statement released on Monday by SP Abdullahi Haruna, the Kano Police command's spokesperson, he confirmed that 49 suspected looters were arrested at the Triumph Plaza. This plaza is located in the Fagge Local Government Area of Kano state.
Haruna said that immediately after they got a tip-off from some of the community members, the state commissioner of Police, Mohammed Gum took action and quickly deployed police officers to the area.
Haruna further stated that “49 suspects were arrested, and the following looted properties were recovered, three flash doors, flash windows, four LG Air conditioners, eight pieces of polling door iron and 16 heavy duty hammers.”
He concluded his statement with advice directed at parents to train their wards and warn them against looting the properties of others.
Behaviors like this are strongly frowned upon in society as they destroy the peace and happiness of innocent people.
