Two days after deleting the video that caused an unexpected uproar on social media among Arewa Muslims, a video of a mob in Maiduguri burning Davido's Infinix posters surfaced.
Afterwards, the Muslims were clamoring that it is important that Davido apologizes to them because he belittled their religion.
Here are some reactions from netizens after the video went viral:

Davido's driver, Israel DMW also tendered an apology to Muslims on Davido's behalf saying it was an entertainment effort that was wrongly presented.

However, Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka reached out to Davido yesterday urging him to ignore the mob asking him to apologize over the controversial video he deleted on his page stating clearly that there is no nothing to apologize about.

He mentioned that the former governor of Kaduna State Nasir El-Rufai has also said made insulting statements about Christians in the past and no one tried to attack him.
He said,"There was nothing to apologize about, and that applied equally to El Rufai’s comments at the time. It should come as no surprise that I equally absolutely disagree with Shehu Sani if indeed, as reported, he has demanded an apology from Davido on behalf of the Moslem community.
He also mentioned that it wasn't Davido's music that got Deborah killed by the mob in Sokoto.
"It wasn’t Davido’s music that lynched Deborah Yakubu, a second-year Christian college student who was killed by a mob of Muslim students in Sokoto last year over alleged blasphemy,", He said.
