NBC grants Ibadan Polytechnic license to operate radio station


The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has granted The Polytechnic, Ibadan, the license to operate a radio station.

They gave them the go ahead and license to operate the radio Station.

It was revealed in a statement which was signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mrs Modupe Theresa Fawale.

The Polytechnic was given the license to operate Poly Ibadan FM radio station and this was given to them through a letter from the NBC.

The letter was dated the 22nd of May, 2023 and had the reference number of NBC/SEC/LIC/19/VOL.iv

The letter had been addressed to Professor Kazeem Adekunle Adebiyi who is the Rector of the institution. It was signed by the secretary of the commission, Igomu Onoja, and this was on behalf of the Director General of NBC.

The registrar, Mrs Fawale mentioned that the right to operate this Radio station was conveyed to the institution through this letter.

The letter had mentioned that this license was a temporary one and this is pending the time that all the required payments would have been made by the Polytechnic.

This payment will be for the application for operating a radio station and will be submitted to the commission.
