
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested 13 suspects in Lagos, Kogi, Abuja, Niger, Kwara, and Oyo states, for drug trafficking.
The names of seven of the suspects are Monday Saba, 30; Hakeem Kwana, 27; Ogedegbe Dorcas, 34; Segun Olajide, 42; Amina Alilu, 30; Abubakar Mohammed, 32; and Nuhu Sale, 43.
Mr. Femi Babafemi, NDLEA's media director, confirmed in a statement that Monday Saba and Hakeem Kwana were caught with imported consignments that contained cannabis (loud) weighing 5,344.1 kilograms in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
Similarly, Abubakar Mohammed and Nuhu Sale were arrested in Niger state.
They were caught with 31 bags of skunk that weighed 517kg in Suleja, along Abuja Expressway.
He further confirmed the arrest of Amina Alilu. She was caught with skunk weighing 171kg on the 21st of June, at one Ogbogodo village in Kogi State.
Babafemi also confirmed the arrest of Segun Olajide, who was caught with 49.2kg of skunk, in Oyo town.
In addition, another suspect with a fake Identity, Ogedegbe Dorcas, was arrested in Kwara state. She got ambushed in the Asa Dam Area of Ilorin, Kwara State, with 30kg of cannabis on the 22nd of June.
Similarly, NDLEA operatives in Edo stormed a forest called Ekudo, in Uhunmwode LGA. They retrieved 67kg of weeds and arrested six suspects on the 19th of June.
The names of these suspects are Godbless Tunde, Monday Onyedi, Edosa Imariagbe, Onyeka Onyedinma, Alex Eboh, and Godstime Osarobo.
