NDLEA intercepts meth hidden in custard containers worth N567m
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA) operatives have intercepted some drugs known as Meth which were bound for the United Kingdom.
It was a large consignment of drugs which were hidden in custard containers. The drugs were set to go to London, UK.
The NDLEA intercepted these at the SAHCO export shed in Murtala Muhammed International Airport, in Lagos.
The drugs, weighing a total of 30.10 kilograms were worth N567 million.
Follow up investigations began and they were able to arrest the person suspected to be the drug Lord. This man has been identified as Charles Chinedu Ezeh and they arrested him in a suite in Lagos.
They arrested the agents, Nwobodo Chidiebere and another suspect, Chioma Lucy Akuta.
The suspected drug Lord, Ezeh claimed to be a businessman in Onitsha but after thorough investigation, they found out he lived with his wife and children in London until last year when he ran back to Nigeria after being involved in a drug crime in London.
