Ogun man arrested for impregnating his 19-year-old daughter
A man who has been identified as Abiodun Oladapo has been arrested for impregnating his 19-year-old daughter
This man who is 43 years old was arrested by the police command in Ogun State.
Mr Abimbola Oyeyemi who is the police public relations officer released a statement to disclose this case on Saturday.
He said that this man was arrested after a complaint was lodged at the Mowe Divisional Headquarters. It was a Oluwatoyin Idowu, who reported the case of her son being falsely accused of impregnating the 19-year-old lady.
Investigation was carried out and they realized that the lady is 5 months pregnant and she confessed that it was her father who had been assaulting her sexually since last year, February. He also threatened her against telling anyone about it.
The lady also said that it was her father who asked her to lie against the young man named Michael Idowu and say he was responsible for it.
After listening to her confession, the DPO of the Mowe Division who is SP Folake Afeniforo dispatched ther detectives to look for the father and then made the arrest.
The Man confessed to the crime when he was been interrogated but he blamed his actions on the devil.
Further incase conducted and they found out the father had been separated from the mother for a long time and he had custody of his daughter when the mother remarried.
The Commissioner of Police who is Frank Mba has given directives tgat the mane should be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
They have assured everyone that this case would be properly investigated and dealt with.
