Pope offers condolences and prayers for victims of the Indian train crash

Ever since the incident of the train crash in India on Friday, condolences from around the world have been poured in for the victims and their families.
Pope Francis, who is the head of the Catholic Church, has also shared his condolences for the victims.
Pope Francis who is in his 80s is also the Bishop of Rome.
He sent prayers to those who were affected by the crash on Saturday.
Recall the crash had claimed the lives of 288 people and injured over 800 people.
A train had derailed to another track and another train had crashed into it causing some coaches to turn over and some parts of the train smashed together.
He mentioned he was saddened by the news of this incident which was the deadliest rail accident in over 20 years in India. The crash had been a three-train collision.
He entrusted the souls of the deceased to the Almighty and offered prayers for those injured.
