
After a three-day state visit to Spain, President Muhammadu Buhari has left Madrid for the journey back to Abuja.
The President, who arrived on Tuesday, flew out of Madrid's Torrejon Airbase at 8 a.m. on Friday.
Buhari visited both the Spanish President, Pedro Sanchez, and the monarch, His Majesty King Felipe VI, while in Madrid.
Nigeria and Spain signed nine agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) during his meeting with President Sanchez, including the Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters; Transfer of Sentenced Persons; Extradition; Economic and Commercial Cooperation; and Tourism.

Sports, health, the fight against COVID-19, and science and innovation were among the topics covered.
He also spoke at a political and business leaders' forum on Thursday, co-hosted by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Trade, and the Confederation of Employers (CEOE), at which he urged European countries to look to Africa for solutions to the global economy's resource supply challenges.
Later, he hosted and spoke to members of the Nigerian community in Spain, including professional footballers and several Spanish investors with ties to Nigeria.Geoffrey
Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Abubakar Malami (SAN), Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice; Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture; Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of Interior; and others accompanied him to Spain.
