
Today, June 4, President Muhammadu Buhari will attend an Extraordinary Summit of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government in Accra, Ghana, to discuss the political situation in Mali and other parts of the sub-region.
According to a statement from presidential spokesperson Femi Adpesina, the Summit, which will take place at the Presidential Palace in Accra, popularly known as the Jubilee House, is expected to review progress made by Mali's military junta on the country's restoration to democratic governance.
The situations in Burkina Faso and Guinea will also be discussed by the Heads of State.
Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd), National Security Adviser; and Amb. Ahmed Rufa'i Abubakar, Director-General, National Intelligence Agency, will accompany the President (NIA), he's expected to the back in the country immediately after the meeting.
