VP Yemi Osinbajo has been silent for the past 24 hours following Bola Tinubu's victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries.
According to reports, Osinbajo has not sent Tinubu any congratulations on his election as the APC presidential candidate.
Tinubu stunned presidential hopefuls like Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, and Dave Umahi, who were considered front-runners before the election.
The former Lagos State Governor received 1,271 votes, defeating Amaechi, who received 316 votes. With 235 votes, the Vice President came in third.
Prior to the APC Special Convention, Osinbajo was accused of betrayal for running for President alongside Tinubu.
Tinubu is thought to have tutored Osinbajo and other politicians, While Tinubu was governor of Lagos State, the Vice President served as his Attorney General.
In 2015, Tinubu stated that he nominated Osinbajo as President Muhammadu Buhari's deputy in the midst of controversy.
Tinubu claimed that he offered Osinbajo the position of Vice President of Nigeria.
On the other hand, Tinubu extended an olive branch to all aspirants during his acceptance address at Abuja's Eagles Square.
According to the APC presidential contender, he holds no grudges against anyone.
