Some protesters have stormed the city of Kano to protest the issue of demolitions which has been happening in the state.

These people are victims of this demolition which the state government began in Kano State.

They took to the streets to protest the demolition work which has been ongoing.

They gathered in front of Daula Hotel which was demolished in the state. This was around Hadejia Road. They gathered yesterday, Monday in the mrinj g holding placards that showed what they stood for which was against the demolition being carried out by the government.

Zahraddee Baba who is the Director, Research and Development Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiative spoke to the newsmen at the scene. He said that it's sad that such a property, the hotel which is worth millions, was just destroyed like that by the government.

The protesters went ahead to call out the government saying they must compensate the owners of those properties that have been destroyed.

They said they voted for Governor Abba Yusuf who is the current governor so that he will bring development to the state.

They are now angry that within his short time in office, he has done such a thing to the people who voted for him.
