A video of a Nigerian lady calling her dad on phone before accepting a marriage proposal has gone viral. The video showed the lady picking up her phone to call her dad after she received a proposal. She had not given an answer yet and the man was still kneeling in front of her but she called her father to ask him if she should accept the proposal. The proposal took place in a room which looked like an hotel. The lady whose name has not been identified called her father to ask if she should accept the proposal from the guy. The lady is said to be from Ekiti state. after her boyfriend knelt to propose, she said ‘let me call my dad first’. This caused the other people present in the room to laugh out loud.
Some Nigerians reacted to this in different ways. Some felt it was cute to see how much love and respect she has for her father to ask him to help her make such an important decision, however, some others felt her father will always have a say in their relationship if she cannot make her own decisions.
