Suspected Bandits kill 18 people in Zamfara
Some suspected Bandits have killed a total of 18 people in Zamfara State recently.
These people include a vigilante leader and 17 other people.
They were killed in different attacks which happened at different times in different communities
These communities are under the Ruwandoruwa ward in Maru Local Government Area, in Zamfara State.
Some witnesses revealed that the vigilante leader who was killed are been targeted by the bandits.
He had been killed alongside 3 people in the community in his hideout which is in the Bush
When people heard about the death of this vigilante leader, the other members of the group had mobilized themselves to go to that area but these armed bandits ambushed them.
There had been a gun battle between the 2 groups and 11 members of the vigilante group were killed.
About 10 bandits had also been killed in this duel.
The police in Zamafar as at the time of this report has not confirmed this.
According to witnesses, these bandits also went to another community which is close to the first and killed 3 other people.
On their way, they shot 2 more and another person when they got to the next community making 18 in total.
