Shallipopi revealed that he got numerous deals when he was still fresh in the music industry. This was around the time he released his breakout single "Elon Musk" and "Shapiru". He said he was offered $300,000 approximately N245 million.

Shallipopi said they told him his song can go further than where it was and they were ready to help him. He revealed that he turned down the deal because to him, it wasn't about money.

He thought deeply about it and concluded that it may not be a good deal. He said after he signs the deal, he may be stuck in the same place as an artist and wouldn't be given the freedom to demonstrate his artistry as a singer. He said he would have to seek permission or approval before he releases new music and he will become trapped.

Shallipopi revealed that after some artists get a hit song, the next step is to sell the song for money. He said what if he releases new music and it goes down the drain, what would he do? He advised that it is better to build and take note of the industry first before signing any deal as an artist.
