Accident on Lagos-Ibadan expressway leads to death of 4 people, 11 left injured
An accident which occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has led to the death of 4 people. Other than the 4 victims who died, 11 others were injured from the accident.
The accident involved a Foton bus. This occurred at Aiyetoro axis on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
It was the Spokesperson of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, (TRACE), Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed this incident. He revealed this to some newsmen in Abeokuta, just yesterday.
He shared that this accident happened around 9:59a.m. there had been a tyre outburst that caused the accident. The bus experienced a tyre burst and it led to the vehicle somersaulting and landed in a ditch.
Mr Akunbiyi revealed that there were 15 people involved in this accident. There were 12 women and 3 men. The 4 victims who died included the 3 men and 1 woman.
The other 11 women were the ones who sustained injuries. The bus had been in its was from Ibadan going to Lagos and this happened.
He revealed that the injured victims have been rushed to the hospital. This is Famobis Hospital, in Mowe. The bodies of to deceased have been deposited at Idera morgue in Sagamu.
