Chioma Okoli, the pregnant woman who was recently arrested by the Erisco Tomato brand for criticizing its product, has reportedly suffered a miscarriage in prison. She was reportedly imprisoned while pregnant as she awaits her trial slated for the 31st of May, 2024.
Unfortunately, her body couldn't withstand the sudden stress and changes and she lost her pregnancy in isolation. This news was relayed to the public by Chioma's lawyer who confirmed the miscarriage of his client. The evidence of the miscarriage which was drafted by the hospital has been presented in court but the Lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, didn't share this with the media.
Chioma who had shared her experience using the Erisco tomato was charged with cyberstalking the Erisco brand and remanded in the prison until the day of trial. Unfortunately, she lost her pregnancy in the process but the company has yet to address that.
