The chief judge of Osun State, Justice Oyebola Ojo has sentenced Dr Rahman Adedoyin to death by hanging over the death of a OAU student.

Dr Rahman Adedoyin is the owner of Hilton Hotel which is located in Ile-Ife. This was the hotel where a postgraduate student of the Obafemi Awolowo University was killed.

The OAU student has been identified as Timothy Adegoke and he was killed.

Justice Ojo had mentioned that the owner of the hotel and two other workers were found guilty of the crime and seen as responsible for this offense.

This was based on the circumstances of the case that was established by Femu Falane, SAN who is the prosecuting counsel.

Dr Adedoyin and two members of his staff at Hilton Hotels were sentenced to death by hanging.

They were found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, and unlawful killing of the victim.

Recall that this young man, Adegoke died mysteriously in 2021 in this very hotel.
