An embarrassing clip of officials of the Department of States Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS) found its way to the internet showing how they fought dirty over the custody of suspended CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
This fight began after the DSS refused to obey the court's order and free Emefiele. Since the court granted Emefiele bail, no secret agency has the right to disobey the ruling, but officials of the DSS did. This behavior shows how rotten the Nigerian Judicial System has become. Emefiele's younger brother, George Emefiele, spoke about the inadequacies of the Judicial system. He said it is disheartening all this is happening to his brother. He tagged the behavior of the DSS as shameful and against the rules of a democratic nation. George said, "This is a court order and DSS is violating the order." He blamed Tinubu for enabling the DSS to carry out such atrocities after the court ordered that Emefiele be remanded at Ikoyi prison.

Despite many not supporting Emefiele's wrong deeds, netizens opined that the law must be obeyed regardless of any sentimental reasons. One @drbtgar wrote, "Whether you feel sorry for Emefiele or not, everyone needs to condemn this act. When a court gives an order, it must be obeyed. Anyone who has a problem with the court is meant to take it to a higher court. That's how this is meant to be."
