Fire outbreak in Palace building, no injuries recorded- Ooni’s spokesman

The Ooni of Ife's spokesman has confirmed that there were no injuries recorded as fire razes a palace building.
There was a fire outbreak on Friday evening in the palace of the Ooni of Ife as there was a fire outbreak in a building apartment in the palace Courtyard.
Some properties were destroyed due to this incident that took place in the courtyard of the Palace Of The Ooni Of Ife, who is Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The fire began around 11:30 pm. They revealed that it was a power surge that triggered the explosion of an electrical appliance.
According to a palace worker, the fire went on for hours before the firefighters intervened and put out the fire.
Luckily the fire didn't spread from the building that was affected. It only burnt that one building and didn't affect others since the firefighters put it out.
The Director, Media & Public Affairs of the Ooni's Palace, Mr Otunba Moses Olafare, had revealed putting out the fire was a combined effort of the Government Fire Service, OAU Fire Service and the Palace Emergency Control Unit.
He revealed that there were no injuries recorded and there were also no casualties.
He also said that no cultural items were lost in the fire.
