As the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, chooses the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential forms, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has reacted.
SERAP requested Emefiele to quit as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria immediately.
According to the organization, Emefiele should retire in line nine of the CBN Act. According to SERAP, Emefiele's engagement in politics would divert him from his duties.
SERAP TWEETED
"BREAKING: Following allegations that CBN Governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele has picked the APC N100m presidential nomination form, we demand he quit his office immediately in accordance with S. 9 of the CBN Act," SERAP tweeted.
