The Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will soon implement a new policy called the Bring Your Own Device policy during its UTME examinations.
The Registrar of the Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede announced this in Abuja last week while speaking on the cost of logistics in conducting the examination in all states in the country.

This new policy is to subsidize the cost and allow students to bring their mobile phones or personal devices and make use of it for the examination.
According to Prof. Oloyede, it costs the board more than 1.2 billion naira to purchase computers used in conducting the examinations in a CBT center in Kaduna State.
Hence, there is a possibility that this policy will be formulated and implemented as soon as possible.
