At Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) received another group of 166 stranded Nigerians returning from Libya.
The returnees arrived at 3:30 p.m. on a charter flight, Al Buraq Air, registration 5ADMG Boeing 700787, at the cargo wing of Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja.
They had 66 adult females, four girls and four babies in their profile. Among the 166 returnees were 77 adult men, eight boys and seven babies who returned to the country voluntarily with the help of the International Organization for Migration and European donor countries.
Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed, Director General of NEMA, warned returnees to avoid acts and practices that disrupt their normal lives.Ahmed, represented by Lagos Territorial Office Coordinator Ibrahim Farinloye, reminded them that it was a grave mistake to leave the country in search of greener pastures where none existed, but that they should thank God that he brought them back with life.
As a result, he advised them to settle down to take advantage of the best potential that abounds in all parts of the country, saying that with the favorable environment the government has been creating lately, everyone should come with patience and perseverance will reach its full development Potential.
