Police arrest 3 suspects of kidnapping Syndicate Niger
The Police Command of Niger state has uncovered a syndicate involved in kidnapping children and have arrested 3 suspects.
DSP Wasiu Abiodun who is the spokesperson of the command,was the one who disclosed this information.
He mentioned this on Thursday, 23rd of March, 2023.
They made this arrest after 2 children had been abducted last year, in October.
2 suspects were said to have been arrested in Gwagawalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as said by the PPRO.
Further investigation then led them to the 3rd person who was arrested in the Lugbe area in FCT.
This person was discovered to be the one in charge of Adorable Orphanage home. 7 children were rescued from this orphanage including the 2 that were abducted last year in Suleja.
After the arrest had been made, one of the suspects confessed to have conspired with someone else in the kidnapping.
The children were abducted and taken to an address where she had an Orphanage home called "Famous Kids home" which was an illegal one.
She eventually disappeared and further investigation led to the 3rd suspect who was found to be in charge of the Adorable Orphanage home.
5 out of the 7 children that were rescued have been handed over to the Social Welfare Department of FCT.
