IG comedian known as Efe said Nigerians should stop harassing Yul Edochie. He said Yul committed no crime by taking in a second wife. However, he did mention that he doesn't know the details about Yul's story and why many Nigerians dislike him. Efe said he needs to know the exact crime that Yul committed against Nigerians. He also added "The last time I checked, Yul never hold any political position. It is not a crime for a man to marry more than one wife. King Solomon had 700 wives, yet he had extra 300 concubines."

That video didn't sit well with the majority of people that are aware of Yul's situation and they cursed at Efe. From observations, Nigerians aren't so angry at Yul for marrying a second wife. They are pissed at him for posting dance videos of him and his second wife, in less than three months after his son's death. That has earned Yul a lot of mockeries and nicknames like 'goat', 'shameless,' and so on.
