Tinubu declared election winner


Bola Ahmed Tinubu is declared winner of the Nigeria presidential election 2023 which was conducted 3 days ago.
The election took place on Saturday, the 25th of February, 2023 and results were been collated since then.
In the early hours of today, the election results were released. Nigeria woke up to the news of the election result.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP) and ADC demanded a fresh election. PDP and Labour Party call for cancellation of results. These polarities considered it to be manipulated. There have been reports of violence and intimidation that took place during the election on Saturday.
To be declared winner, the Candidate must need to get the most votes and 25% of ballots cast for two-thirds of Nigeria 36 states to be declared as the winner.
There are many parties who contested for the election but only 3 of these Party were dominant and they are Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress party (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).
According to reports, Tinubu won 12 states, Atiku won 12 states while Peter Obi won 11 states plus FCT. Tinubu had a total of 8.7 million votes and Atiku followed with 6.9 million votes and also Peter Obi with about 6 million votes as well.
Tinubu won the election in the following states: Rivers, Borno, Jigawa, Zamfara, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo and Ogun states.
Atiku won in Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Kaduna, Gombe, Yobe, Bauchi, Adamawa and Taraba states. He also won in Osun, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states.
Peter Obi won in Edo, Cross River, Delta, Lagos, FCT, Plateau, Imo, Ebonyi, Nasarawa, Anambra, Abia and Enugu states.
